Counseling Services
Life Solutions Counseling offers a variety of professional counseling services. Meet with Heleen in person or online.
Individual Counseling
$195
for 55 minutes
Heleen uses EMDR therapy, IFS, and other evidence-based modalities to help individuals struggling with trauma, relationship issues, mood disorders, eating disorders, culture shock, addiction, and other mental health challenges.
Online Counseling
$195
for 55 minutes
Online counseling via a secure 256-bit encrypted system. Connect with Heleen via video on our secure portal from the comfort of your own home. Certain restrictions and limitations apply to online counseling.
Group Counseling
$50
for 75 minutes
Our therapeutic groups run for 8 weeks. Group counseling is not appropriate for everyone. The counselor reserves the right to screen group members prior to the first group, or if needed, find more appropriate solutions during the eight weeks.
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy
New Clients Only
The following additional fees apply to new clients before starting ketamine sessions. A thorough mental health intake and preparation session are essential to build a strong therapeutic connection, understand your goals and expectations, and prepare you to get the most out of your dosing sessions.

In some cases, you and your therapist may decide together that additional preparation sessions are needed before beginning the ketamine dosing process. This is to ensure you feel fully ready and supported.

KAP Session – Sublingual
The sublingual option uses a medicated lozenge (also called a troche) that dissolves slowly under the tongue, allowing the ketamine to absorb directly into the bloodstream. A prescription from a licensed medical provider is required.

What’s Included in Every KAP Session
Specialized Training
Certified in KAP, IFS, mindfulness, resourcing, imagery rescripting, and EMDR.
Up to 3 Hours of Care
Sublingual sessions are ~3 hours and IV sessions ~2 hours of one-on-one therapeutic presence.
Preparation & Integration
Every journey includes preparation beforehand and integration afterward – always included.
Safety & Monitoring
Continuous therapeutic monitoring throughout, ensuring physical and emotional safety.
Multi-Modal Approach
IFS, mindfulness, and imagery rescripting during dosing; EMDR integrated into integration sessions.
Payments & Policies
Clients are required to provide a credit card on file that will be charged after each session. Other payment methods can be used at the time of the session if preferred.
Cancellation Courtesy
We reserve your appointment time exclusively for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours notice to avoid being charged the missed session fee. A $100 fee will apply if a session is not canceled at least 24 hours in advance. Clients who cancel more than three sessions in a row without prior arrangements may lose their spot.
Insurance
We currently accept only AETNA insurance. Clients who wish to use other insurance can request a detailed bill (Superbill) to submit for potential reimbursement. Clients are responsible for full payment at the time of service and can download or print the invoice from the client portal. Mental health services qualify as medical expenses and may be paid using Health Savings Accounts (HSA).
Scholarships
A limited number of scholarships are available for low-income clients, including some specifically for survivors of domestic violence and abuse. There is a waiting list for these scholarships. If you are interested, we will add you to the list and notify you when a slot opens. Scholarships are income-based and require completion of paperwork to determine eligibility.
