KAP Pricing & Packages

Transparent, itemized pricing for Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy. Two treatment pathways, flexible packages, and a commitment to making transformative care accessible.

Free Initial Screening for All New Clients
Step One

Free Safety Screening

Your journey begins with a complimentary screening to determine whether KAP is safe and appropriate for you. There are certain medical and mental health conditions that may disqualify someone from ketamine treatment, and it is essential that these are identified before any commitment is made. This screening is always free.

Two Treatment Pathways

I offer two distinct approaches to Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy. Both include the same comprehensive therapeutic support, preparation, continuous guidance during the journey, and integration. The difference is in how the ketamine is administered.

Option A

Sublingual KAP

Ketamine lozenge in my therapeutic office

The sublingual (lozenge) method is the most common approach for KAP. You take a prescribed ketamine lozenge in a comfortable, private setting in my office while I provide continuous therapeutic support throughout the entire 3-hour journey.

Gentle, gradual onset ideal for deep therapeutic work
Comfortable office setting with eye mask and curated music
I remain with you the entire 3-hour session
Trauma-informed IFS, mindfulness, resourcing & imagery rescripting during dosing
EMDR integrated into integration sessions
Ketamine prescribed by a referring medical provider
Option B

IV Ketamine + Therapy

IV administration in a medical office with my therapeutic support

For those who prefer or clinically benefit from intravenous administration, I partner with a medical professional who provides IV ketamine in his office. I am present throughout the 2-hour session to provide continuous psychotherapeutic support, bringing trauma-informed IFS, mindfulness, resourcing, and imagery rescripting to the IV setting.

More precise dosing control via IV administration
Medical professional on-site for IV monitoring
I provide full therapeutic support during the 2-hour session
EMDR integrated into integration sessions
Medical intake with the prescribing provider included
Ideal for treatment-resistant conditions

What Makes Our Pricing Different

Many providers in the Portland area charge separately for each component of the KAP process, intake, preparation, the dosing session, and integration, which can make the true cost difficult to predict. At Life Solutions Counseling, we list every fee upfront so you know exactly what to expect. Our 6-session packages include all intake, preparation, dosing, and integration sessions, something most competitors charge separately for, often adding $1,000 or more to the total cost of a 6-session protocol.

Why This Investment Matters

Not Just Medicine,Therapy

Ketamine alone produces temporary relief. Ketamine with psychotherapy produces lasting transformation. Studies show the effect size of psychedelic-assisted therapy more than doubles when psychotherapy is included.

Hours, Not Minutes

Sublingual dosing sessions involve approximately 3 hours and IV sessions approximately 2 hours of one-on-one therapeutic presence. Unlike IV clinics that simply monitor vitals for 40 minutes, I provide continuous psychotherapy throughout the entire experience.

Integration Is Everything

The 24–72 hour window after ketamine is when your brain is most receptive to change. Integration sessions during this window are what turn a powerful experience into lasting healing, and they are always included.

Multiple Certifications at Work

You are not just paying for someone to sit with you. You are receiving care from a Licensed Professional Counselor certified in KAP and specializing in IFS, mindfulness, resourcing, imagery rescripting, and EMDR,with years of experience helping veterans, first responders, and survivors of trauma including PTSD, complex PTSD, and debilitating phobias such as fear of flying.

Compared to Years of Therapy

Many clients experience breakthroughs in 6 KAP sessions that would take years in traditional talk therapy. At $250 per weekly session, a year of traditional therapy costs over $10,000,often with slower results.

Your Safety Is Priceless

Proper screening, medical coordination, continuous monitoring, and trauma-informed care ensure that your experience is not only effective but safe. Cutting corners on safety is never an option.

Medical Provider & Medication

Ketamine Prescribing & Medical Coordination

For sublingual KAP: I will refer you to a trusted medical provider who can evaluate you and prescribe the ketamine, or you can obtain it through your own provider. I will coordinate care directly with them to ensure a seamless and safe experience. Sublingual ketamine medication typically costs $50–$100 through a compounding pharmacy for enough doses to complete 4–6 sessions. This cost is separate from the therapy fees listed above.

For IV KAP: I partner with a medical professional who provides IV ketamine administration in his office. His fee of $465 per session includes the medical intake, IV setup, monitoring, and ketamine medication. This fee is included in the itemized breakdown above and is paid directly to his office.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to commit to 6 sessions?

No. While 6 sessions are recommended based on clinical research for the best and most lasting results, sessions can always be purchased individually. The 6-session package simply offers a 10% discount for those who choose to commit to the full evidence-based protocol.

How do I choose between sublingual and IV?

Both pathways include the same comprehensive therapeutic support from me. Sublingual (lozenge) is the most common approach for KAP and offers a gentle, gradual onset that is ideal for deep therapeutic work. IV ketamine allows for more precise dosing control and may be recommended for treatment-resistant conditions. We will discuss which option is best for you during your free screening.

Is there really a free screening?

Yes. Safety is my top priority. Before any commitment is made, you will receive a complimentary screening to determine whether KAP is safe and appropriate for you. Certain medical and mental health conditions may disqualify someone from ketamine treatment, and it is essential that these are identified upfront,at no cost to you.

Does insurance cover KAP?

Ketamine dosing sessions are generally not covered by insurance. However, the intake, preparation, and integration sessions may be billable to insurance depending on your plan. I currently accept AETNA insurance, and I can provide a detailed superbill for other insurers. Mental health services also qualify as medical expenses and may be paid using Health Savings Accounts (HSA).

What if KAP is not right for me?

If the free screening determines that KAP is not appropriate for you, there is no charge and no obligation. I also offer individual counseling using EMDR, IFS, mindfulness, and other trauma-informed approaches that may be a better fit. We will work together to find the right path for your healing.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Clients are required to provide a credit card on file. Other payment methods can be used at the time of the session if preferred. HSA and FSA funds are accepted. A $100 fee applies for sessions not canceled at least 24 hours in advance.
